If you have not seen Born into Brothels, I strongly recommend it. It is a tribute to childhood and the restorative power of art.... These children live in the Red Light District of Calcutta, where their mothers work as prostitutes. A New York photographer comes along and gives each child their own camera and the chance to see the world in a different way.
This was one of those films that I came away from feeling so enlightened as to what's really important in life.... I want to go rent it again RIGHT NOW, and then fly to India!

....working on a Lomography brochure for my Senior Capstone Course - yes, my teacher gave me work to complete over the summer... No, I don't hate it :)
Although I do only have around 2 weeks left of summer and about 7 or 8 MORE projects to fix up... CRUNCH time begins NOW!
Love from Le Love, xoxo!

I came across this website called The Card Society and I LOVE IT. The Card Society is dreamed up, letterpress printed, handled and shipped each month by designer and artist: Maria Alexandra Vettese! If I had money, I would become a member literally RIGHT NOW!
p.s. I want a letterpress sooooo badly!

Beyond the Door
So I posted an image towards the beginning of the summer from when I photographed this store, Beyond the Door, in Dallas Texas. It has taken me almost a month to get going on their website (the owner sucks at communication) but I have almost completed the site and couldn't be happier with it!! This is my second website to build and feel like I am starting to get the hang of things - although I still have TONS to learn when it comes to the Adobe programs... like, an overwhelming amount...!!
I'll post the link when it is complete and online but for now, here is a sneak peak! Their blog is http://btdoor.blogspot.com/ !! It was JUST started so there is not much content yet :)
xoxo
